Adsl self installation

I have moved into a new premises , I only required a adsl line. The person who I bought the house from said that I am more than welcome to take over his existing line. When I contacted Telkom this was not possible. I had to pay R750 for a landline installation first . I booked and they came through after three weeks. Spent 15minutes and I have a new number. I have been trying for over a month calling every day when I had time to get hold of the adsl department. The average time spent waiting was 30 minutes. Eventually when I did get through and did my adsl line order with the operator (the call lasted 35minutes) , the call cut off. I have given my cell number to her however she did not call back. I called back and another operator advised that the order I in process. Two days later I was contacted by a technician who wanted to know what time he could come through. I was surprised as I clearly stated that I wanted to do a self installation. I spoke with the technician and he said it must have been a confusion. When I called Telkom today they cannot do anything as the order is still in process. I will have to wait for the original operator to cancel the order and resubmit.
