ADSL Line upgrade issues

<p> I have requested an ADSL line upgrade from 10mb to 20mb line. Telkom advised me to get VDSL modem/router, which I have installed. I phoned Telkom yesterday and was advised that the upgrade has been done - I have not received any notification of this though. Problem now is that my router is still syncing on ADSL, not VDSL - I am therefore not seeing any evidence of the upgrade. After spending hours on the phone Telkom technical and sales doesn't seem to be able to assist. I really am at a loss how a company can operate so inefficiently.</p>
