ADSL Line rental Debit Order

In June 2016 I requested Telkom to convert my landline to a data line as I was converting to ADSL. This was done by applying via the Telkom Vaal Mall branch. On the application form I had no choice but to supply my banking details for Telkom to recover the rental via debit order. Three months later I went back to the same branch to find out that the debit order was not loaded and I am in arrears with my Telkom line rental. Telkom has even charged me interest on the outstanding amount. The statement that I received from the Vaal Mall branch does also not show all the detail transactions for June & July. There is an amount for line rental that I assume Telkom is charging me for the month of June that amounts to about R100. This is after I have paid the normal line rental for the month of June.

It is a fact that Telkom does not know what is happening in their administration. Poor service. If I had a choice, Telkom would not fit into this choice.

Hi Ilhaam, thank you for your response. I need the invoice to be sorted but the debit order should not be loaded. I prefer monthly eft.

Regards

Interestingly I got two Telkom Statements in the post yesterday. For the first time I see that Telkom charges for the conversion of the line. This was not communicated at the time of applying for the conversion as I would have paid for the conversion then. Clearly I can see that Telkom staff is not trained and is unfit to do the job. And Telkom promptly added interest after they didn't load the debit order. "Tekom maybe you should resign as a South African Service Provider" With this service delivery you will not make 2020. Other SPs that wants to will overtake you. Poor Poor Poor. Shame on you, you hammer your clients, yet you do not have your ducks in a row.

Hi it is amazing that Telkom cannot work together as a company delevering a service to their clients. In a mail from Telkom, I was discounted for the charges as was discussed in my original complaint. Yet I received a statement and guess what "It is back"!!! The discounted amount has crept back onto the statement. One department that is on the ball is the interest charging department. Sharp of them, but for the wrong statement.
Who do I believe, the operator that answered the mail or the financial clerk that generated the statement.
Lucky I have proof of the discount so if Telkom wants to disconnect my line and hand me over to their attourneys, I am geared to take them to task.
Question when is Telkom going out of business? Hope soon if not sooner. Pathetic service. Here is the dispute number ********** 6.
Hope confusion will subside soon within the Telkom departments to ensure client service.
