ADSL line conversion
I'm trying to get the internet connected at home. I phoned Telkom in September to activate my line. I was told I would have to wait up to 3 weeks to have it activated. After a month of waiting and still no line activation I called Telkom to find out what the status of my line was. I was told the order had been put through to the wrong department and I would have to wait another 3 weeks. After waiting another month a Telkom technician did arrive and activated my line successfully. I called Telkom to convert my line to ADSL so my service provider (Afrihost) could activate my internet access. I was told by Telkom that it would take between 4 to 7 days to convert it to ADSL. I waited 8 days and called Telkom again to find out the status of the order. I was told again my order had been sent to the wrong department and would have to wait another 4 to 7 days. I waited another 8 days and today I called Telkom to find out the status of my line conversion. I was told they cannot help as the order is with the network department and I would have to continue to wait until they had finished processing my order. I have waited almost 3 months and nothing has been done. Not sure what else to do.
