ADSL Line

I requested an installation of an ADSL line at my new house about 2 months ago. I had to phone again two weeks ago to find out what is happening. Today they phoned me back and said they can't install ADSL in my area because there is no infrastructure and that I must find a number in my area with ADSL and provide them with the number so they can trace where it comes from. But when I first spoke to a lady when I called the first time, she said no problem they will contact me with an installation date.

I asked on Facebook for anyone with an ADSL line in the area I live and a couple of people rep**** saying they also contacted Telkom for an installation but they also said there is no infrastructure.

It seems like there is a need for infrastructure in my area in Witbank. Why aren't they upgrading to provide this service if they advertise it? Take is off the marked if you don't want to install it. And why must I look for a ADSL number in my area, should they not know about things like this?
