ADSL is useless - Telkom no help

I have an ADSL line installed with Telkom for over 2yrs now. I originally subscribed for a 2mbps line but after endless problems, I upgraded to a 4mbps line. The strange thing is that I then started to get even more problems with line drops and fluctuating speeds. I kept calling in for assistance but the problem just persisted. I explained to the consultant that I work from home and we stream Showmax and Netflix, which we subscribe to monthly, so we need a stable line. I was once again advised to upgrade to a 10mbps line, which I did at a substantial price increase. I now pay double my original subscription from when we started subscription and my line is still dropping and fluctuating, even more than before. The first time a fault was logged, the technician didn't even bother coming out, he chose to call me and convince me on the phone that nothing is wrong with my line and that 4mbps speeds on a 8mbps line was in fact normal. The second technician checked the line, replaced a wire he thought was faulty and left. The last technician actually went the extra mile and took the ladder off the van and inspected the box on the pole. He found some problems and sorted it out. Guess what? My line is still dropping and the speed still fluctuating. Yet another fault was logged this evening and at the time of me resorting to typing this review, my internet speed calculated at 0.4mbps on a 8mbps adsl line!!!! The other problem is this, when my line is down all the time or fluctuating at these low speeds, I still get billed the full amount, which is over R1000pm. On top of that I still have to pay my Netflix and Showmax subscriptions, each over R100pm, even though I can't get to watch it half the time. This is besides the point that I also work from home and need the Internet to do my work. Every time I call Telkom and query this, they don't take any responsibility, transferring me from one department to another. I'm sometimes on a call with them for over 30min. If Neotel had to have fiber optic lines in our area I would've cancelled my subscription ages ago already. Telkom know that there is no competition and thus have a terrible attitude about the entire thing. In the meantime it's costing me a fortune every month for a service I don't get to use to the fullest. This is ****************!!! I can't even cancel as I need it to do my work and make an income. Is Telkom going to refund me? Not a chance!!! I can't even get them to accept responsibility. In my opinion, this is *****. If I decide not to pay for the service I'm not receiving, they cut me off and send letters of demand for payment. Why is it then that I cannot take any action for the terrible service or should I say, lack of service that I'm getting???? Someone please help, I'm so frustrated!!!!!

It is Monday 03/10/2016. I am once again on the phone with Telkom over the same issue. Up till now still no technical support in to resolve the issue. I received an sms informing me that my line was tested a few days ago and that they found nothing wrong. I immediately responded by informing them that the problem still persists. Another fault was logged but I haven't heard anything since and my speed is fluctuating again. Just refreshed the port with Telkom Technical services telephonically and the speed is a bit better but still fluctuating.

By the looks of it I'm stuck with this **** inferior service that I'm being charged a premium for. Would also like to note that I have paid Telkom in full for the month, even though I had to endure this **** service. Not sure where to now as Telkom can't even give me any advice, as a matter of fact, I can't even get them to come and install a new line. Lord help me!
