ADSL Internet Access
My Telkom account has been running for the last 25 years so I had no problem signing up for 24 month R799 Telkom Lite contract to start the 01 October 2017. 1. When I received my billing account at the end of the October the new Telkom lite contract contract was not on the account 2. I had also cancelled a monthly billing for a tablet which had now expired and this was also still on the account 3. It is now January 2018 the monthly billing for the tablet is still on the account even after cancelling it for a second time. 4. The internet access is laughable I have probably reported it now about ten times. I then get an sms saying it has been restored and works for a while 5. The ladies in the Telkom office are really helpful but all they can do is log a complaint. 6. I live in a suburb called Berea in East London and there really should not be a problem with the internet - there are four people in our household and we all depend on the internet for our lively hoods so when the internet only works 40% of the time it becomes an issue. Telkom what do I do now??

21 Feb 2018, 10:36Thank you for your reply Tumelo we have now decided to cancel the contract as it has been breached. The contract that we signed was for an ADSL line 10 meg that would work everyday all day.
The line has now been on for only 20% of the time since November 2017 when the contract started. Three of the family members work online from home and this is an unacceptable situation to be in. We have just spent a lot of money buying extra data and this is now costing a lot of extra money.
These are the details:
Name of account holder: Mr C M Clur
ID Number: ***
Telephone Number: ***
We have now had at least 4 visits from Telkom Technicians and absolutely nothing has been done to correct the problem.
Please advise how I cancel this contract
