ADSL from Telkom

I am extremely disappointed in the service I am getting from Telkom. I have been a loyal customer of them for many years. The ADSL service has been down for nearly six weeks now. The only thing the service centres tell you is that the technicians are waiting on a cable. That is unacceptable. Customers should be given an alternative option, especially if access to the internet is crucial. Please think twice before installing ADSL from Telkom. They don't even have the decency to keep you posted on progress or anything. They make these promises, but don't really live up to it.
