I've been without my ADSL line since mid September, I'm completely reliant on the internet as I work from home on remote servers in the US and UK. I've had to phone the tech line every day just to be told that an email has been sent to the technician and supervisor, on top of this I've had to spend thousands on mobile data as an alternative just because Telkom can't get their act together.

The latest was an SMS promising the fault would be repaired on the 8th of Oct, this was not done, reason being the technician couldn't make the repairs as he was overloaded.

I'm tired of chasing up on Telkom, the call center is outsourced as well as the technicians, this level of service is completely unacceptable and when an alternative becomes available in february next year you know where I will be going!!!!

Best regards,
I've called in twice today, I cannot get a commitment on when my line will be fixed, your technician is in Seapoint which is on the other side of Cape Town, and "says he will call sometime to book an appointment", I'm getting to the point where this is enough its been almost a month which is now completely unreasonable. If this is not resolved today, I will cancel my line and move on to alternatives even if it is at greater expense. Your level service at the call centre is great, however on the service/maintenance side it is abysmal. Telkom called a month ago to try get me as a fibre customer all I can say is fat chance!
