Acting Against the Consumer Protection Act

I have visited a Telkom Store in this regard and I have made queries telephonically via the Customer Service phone line and I have sent numerous emails. I was reassured the bill would be fine for this coming month and it is not. I visited a Telkom Store in the second week in May. I app**** for a cellphone contract and an ADSL line. I completed forms at the Menlyn Telkom branch. I still indicated the maximum debit order amount should be R649 as that is what the special was for the 4Mbps ADSL Business Plan at the time. I requested that the ADSL line be installed first week in June as the premises was not ready. No one came and installed the ADSL line. I followed-up via your customer service line. The ADSL line was installed shortly after. What my issue is that the amount I agreed upon paying in the middle of May is not the amount that I am being invoiced for (I am being invoiced for over R800). Why must I be set on a back foot because of poor service from Telkom's side with regards to line installation? Apparently they could not load the price on the system anymore as it was no longer available. Quite honestly, that is not my problem as I signed and agreed upon the R649 option in the second of May. This is completely against the Consumer Protection Act and I am not being treated fairly. It feels like I am insignificant to Telkom and I am seriously being taken for a ride, as they are the 'big dog' and I must just surrender to their bullying. If this is not resolved I will approach the Consumer Goods & Service Ombud as it is not fair treatment of your customers and against the Consumer Protection Act. I signed and agreed upon a specific service, it was not initiated due to your poor service and now I must oblige to a more expensive option because of Telkom's incompetency and my say in the matter has been removed.
