Account handed over due to Telkom inefficiency

I cancelled my Telkom account in December of 2015 when I moved out of my apartment in Green Point. At the same time I cancelled my DSTV subscription and my ISP service with Webafrica.

I then owed Telkom a small amount of less than R500 which was paid in full in January 2016.

I continued to receive monthly invoices from Telkom for the line rental and contacted them accordingly in this regard. I was told to go into a Telkom outlet to rectify the problem, which I duly did at their outler in Stadium on Main in February 2016.

I was advised by their employee that they could not sort out the issue there as they are only there to service new sales, but they could log the query on the system and that the appropriate person from Telkom would contact me in this regard.

That never happened and I continued to receive invoice despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue.

In the meantime the account was handed over to a debt collector Debt-In who have inundated me with phone calls and SMS messages. I explained to the collection agent(s) the administrative error by Telkom in this regard and have even provided them verbally and via email the reference number ********** 0 I have received from Telkom in regard in my numerous contacts with them.

I have lost patience and and am at my wits end as this issue is still unresolved and I am at a loss of how to proceed. I now find that I am black listed for this due to no fault of my own but only due to the administrative circus and the clowns at Telkom.

Please can someone contact urgently to finally resolve this.
