A waste of time and money
Short version. Having ADSL problems, called my ISP, not on their side it must be on Telkoms side.
Called Telkom, they see the line drops, but its not their problem, I must change my router. Go out, buy a new router. Same problem. Told to bypass the splitter. Same problem. Telkom says the problem isn't on their side. Back and forth calling between Mweb and Telkom. Finally a fault is logged. Finally a tech comes to my property to "test" everything.
He runs a speed test, and tells me everything is fine. 10 minutes after he leaves, still disconnecting. Contact Telkom again, problem isn't on their side because the tech said everything is fine. Contact your ISP. Contacted them and was assured the problem is not on their side. But to put my mind at ease, I can bring bith of my routers and my splitter in to be tested.
Behold, everything suddenly works perfectly when not connected to my line. Come back home, reconnect the router, same problem. Contact telkom again, they still say there isn't a problem with the line because they can see I am connected. While on the phone, the line drops again, the woman says that she can see the drop but it must be my e****ent because the tech said that he had fixed the problem.
Now let me tell you, for one pf the biggest telecommunication companies, I'm not too sure where you get your techs from. Now telkom wants me to wait another 7 to 10 working days to get another tech out here to "test" the line again. Thats not right. You sent out some nitwit that had no idea what to look for after how many times I explained my problem to him.
Now when is this going to be resolved and fixed? Because the way I see it you are more than happy to take pff a debit order every month, and then the problem is never fixed. Is there gonna be a credit for the time so far?
And just to give you an idea, one of the days this month the connection dropped 51 times, another it dropped 38 times. Tell me again that there isn't a problem with my connection one more time.
Now before anyone contacts me to resolve this issue, please read this fully and try to understand because if I have to explain it again, I'll blpw a gasket.
I have an internet connection. But when I go online, the connection drops. Anywhere between 2 minutes to 2 hours. There is absolutely no connection in that time. I have tried resetting the routers. I have done firmware upgrades on the routers. I have changed routers not that anyone is going to refund me on that but it will always come in handy somewhere. I have bypassed the splitter. I have now tpday taken both routers and the splitter to be tested and they work perfectly. The only thing left is the line. And not a speed test to be done. A line that needs to be tested properly or a tech to stand here next to me when it goes off and still telle that there isn't any problem.
A tech is more than welcome to bring a router from their office, I don't even care if it's from their homes, but the line was supposed to be tested properly in the first place instead of just having a speed test done. And I am not willing to wait another 7 to 10 working days to have someone come out and look at it. It needs to be done now otherwise it needs to be credited because this is a joke now.
