A Collapsing Giant: Shocking Billing Failures, ******** Disconnections, and Total Incompetence

It is deeply frustrating to watch what was once a great South African institution collapse to this level, but Telkom’s utter failure to manage its basic operations means it deserves to disappear. Their internal systems, billing departments, and customer service infrastructure are completely broken.

My business has been severely disrupted by a continuous string of chaotic and ******** actions:

Erratic Billing & Sudden Disconnection: Telkom regularly processes completely arbitrary debit amounts on random dates throughout the month. To make matters worse, they successfully debited over R1,600 from my account on the 25th, only to completely disconnect and suspend my lines the very next day on the 26th without a single notification or warning.

The Insurance Trap: I have tried multiple times to cancel device insurance on equipment that we no longer use. Telkom completely ignores these formal cancellation requests and continuously attempts to debit my account for a service I have repeatedly cancelled.

A Black Hole of Customer Service: Their staff, website, and call center are entirely useless. The website and app reflect different amounts, and every agent you speak to tells a completely different story. You will waste hours of your life on the phone, waiting ages for a call-back that never comes, only to have to re-explain a complex financial history to agents who clearly have no basic knowledge of accounting or telecom services.

As an aircraft dealership, our communication lines are critical to our daily operations. Being ********ly cut off has hampered our ability to do business and resulted in a direct loss of income.

If this matter is not rectified immediately, we will be seeking legal advice to formally pursue damages for the financial loss caused to our business. Do not trust this company with your business connectivity—they are a sinking ship.
