A case study of incompetence.

I reported a fault on my home telephone on July 10, 2018 and received a SMS with a fault reference ********** 3. I tried to follow it up by calling them 0n 24 July but after 20 minutes of musack I gave up and went online to My Telkom website. I entered the reference number and all it showed was that it had been logged on the 10th of July but no progress. I went onto their site on Messenger and got an apology from Frank asking for the affected phone number which I in-boxed them. The reply came back on the 25 th that it was with the despatch centre waiting for the 1st available technician to attend. I went onto the website and got reference 251CWZ030817 Status this problem is closed. I went onto messenger on 5 August and demanded an explanation with a picture of the message and after nagging on the 6th got a reply from Frank saying it would be escalated asap. On 4 September I got a SMS from Telkom asking me to score them 0-10 based on their service! I went onto the site and the Track an Issue showed movement to the next step In Progress. I went onto messenger on the 5th, no response, on the 6th and finally on the 9th I got a response from Lebo saying the case ref was closed on August 13th and was told to log a fault. My reaction and reply was not complimentary. I sent a screen grab of the tracking on their site on 10th September showing it was still open and in progress. Frank came back saying he was not picking up any open reference numbers and asked me to confirm my fault reference number which appears multiple times on our on going correspondence. I had previously received a message from Frank on 7 September saying thanks for your details and they were going to replace the cable on 12/08/2018. I then got a message from Frank saying "Hi Ian, The case has been cleared /closed on the system. Are you still having problems with the service.^Frank" You can imagine my reply. I asked him to cancel my service and refund my payments for the last two months plus my deposit. He rep**** "I do apologise for this. If you would really like to cancel the service, you have to complete the online application for the cancellation.^Frank" What more can I say about the incompetence it make ones head spin. I have saved copies of all the correspondence and it could be a case study of how to wreck a business!!

What a load of claptrap ?Passing the buck ☹️They make it as difficult as possible to cancel a service which is non existent whilst they insist on being paid for and if one doesn’t pay they blacklist you and then refuse to refund the full amount. SOE ******ion ???

I was told to log on to their website to cancel the service but there is no way of communicating with them so I tried to lodge a dispute but got an error message "Unable to log a dispute. Please try again later" I tried but to no avail then tried to log it again and got this message. "Unable to populate dispute form." Telkom's site is ******* and they frustrate any attempt to contact them but try very hard to get you to buy their services. Never again not ever in a million years. I have screen grabs of all the attempts and stupid messages from their social pages on Facebook which are contradictory and illogical.
