8 weeks - NO SERVICE BY TELKOM

Today mark eight weeks since I was issued my integrated data sim card from Telkom. And still no service.

1. First, the sim card could not be activated on the network. After NUMEROUS phone calls to the call centres, and NUMEROUS visits to our local Telkom store, STILL NO SERVICE.

After three weeks I was issued with a second card, which they managed to activate on the network, but still now Internet Connection while there is data available on the card.

2. When you go the store, you have to stand in the queue for at least an hour to get to the desk, and then ends up with an assistant who plays around on the system (if the system is not down), and sends you away with "go see if it works, let's hope it works now". And they can't test if it works in the shop because the Telkom shop HAS NO COVERAGE!

3. When you call the call centre, you have to tell the same story every time because - unless you fight very hard and become mislik - you can't speak to the previous agent. Or you end up in Port Elizabeth or Durban or somewhere, while you are supposed to speak with someone in Johannesburg.

4. Or you end up with an agent like William Molele in the Johannesburg Technical Support department who terminates your call not once, but TWICE, and tell you to go to another service provider if you are not happy with Telkom's service. All while you are a paying customer not getting the service you are paying for. As someone representing his company in a supervisor capacity and entrusted to deal with the public, you don't expect to told (as a matter of speaking) "go %$^&*& yourself". Tumisang Sedio has tried to assist, but like everyone else from Telkom who took my number and promised to call back and follow up, has also not resolved the matter and also not called me back.

Your response is an insult to my intelligence and the quality of your agents. If you really think after 8 weeks your own agents wouldn't have tried all the above, it speaks volumes.

Interesting that Telkom asked me to post a "private reply" "so that we can be able to view data and to protect your information". I suspect it has more to do with trying to keep the review out of the public domain.
Since I've responded - "privately" as they requested - NO FOLLOW UP REPLY from them.
If I was Donald Trump I would say: "Sad!". (Fortunately I'm not...)
