I have a Huawei cordless landline phone that I got from Telkom for the last 3 years. Unfortunately, the battery does not keep its charge anymore, so I went to the Telkom store at Clearwater Mall to purchase a new battery, only to be told that they don’t sell the batteries and don’t know where I can purchase them. They then advised me that I should rather purchase a new phone costing R850.00. I was not happy with their reply and asked for a number to call at Head Office to complain, as they sell the phone but don’t offer any after sales service. I then phone the Head Office only to be told again that they don’t sell the batteries and that they don’t know where I could purchase new batteries. I then asked to speak to someone senior and was told that I can’t and that I must leave my number and they will get the manager to call me back. Two days and I still waiting for a call. Fortunately, I Googles for batteries and found a shop in Little Falls, Battery Orbit who would make one up for me at a cost of R185.00. Thanks to Battery Orbit for their assistance and thanks to Telkom for the worst service I have received in a long time, which I guess is not surprising.
