6 weeks, 11 Calls, 2 visits and still no ADSL line

6 weeks ago I app**** for an ADSL line with Telkom. <br> On 14th Sep I took a day off to meet the technician. (Who came 2 hours late) <br> He assured me that the ADSL line would be activated within a wk & that I would receive an SMS. <br> 1 wk later no SMS so I called the Call Centre who told me that because they outsource technicians this needs to be signed off by them. 2 days later I called & it still was not signed off. 4 days later. 7 days later still nothing. after 10days I was irate and called again to explain my frustration they assured me this will be escalated once again. A day later a technician called me to say he was outside my house (No arrangement had been made about this) but because I deperately needed my line sorted I left work immediately. He tested the line and said it was active but told me it was a phone line and not ADSL. I was annoyed obviously. He assured me that I just needed to call the call centre and they could switch it to ADSL without me having to meet a technician at my house again. I did this and the callcentre lady said she would process it and that I would get an SMS within 3 days. I have just gotten off the phone after being told I need to place a new order.
