6 months of struggling, beware of this bully people.

In august last year Telkom sold us an upgrade package and since then they have been double charging us , cutting us off and also now affected my Credit bureau behavioral indicators to a point where my daughter almost did not get registered by the university.

So they acknowledged that their sales agaent made a mistake when selling us te new contract. Fair enough, we can all make mistakes, but then we focus on fixing that is this not the correct attitude to display ?

They confirm each time that they will escalate the issue , they then after weeks switch us back on again, but they fail to reconcile the acount and fix the double charges etc. as well as my stuffed up credit profile , which I am sure I can have legal grounds for material impact by now since my daughters study loan for 3rd year was declined due to this. there is just no emphaty or even a worry about peoples livelihoods, they just carry on with their wonderful framework of very inefficient services.

Mr Kruben Moodley was very helpful until a specific stage and then when quiet on all my mails. I asked to assist me in escalating the issue higher and there just is no replies or feedback anymore. Since these double charges are now just mounting every month I am forced to unpay it as I have obviously not made suitable provision for this and they keep trying to collect for the two contracts without reconcilling the account. they are quite happy to tell you how some other department inside Telkom is responsible to fix each different problem arrising from this as if that is something the customer really wants to hear. No accountability, no consequence management, just not a clue on what service is.

Anyway, I will try and launch a legal case against them for my credit profile impact. for the contract I willl just continue for the next however many months trying to get some sort of person who works there and can actually be competent enough to sort out a problem which they created.

Oh, I forgot to mention what was done this last week. They split the overcharging debit order into two amounts ... :-).... One has to wonder where the regulatory bodies are when companies try ********* tricks like this... I will unpay both anyway as it is still the incorrect amounts and there is no forthcoming reconciliation on this account. I will also lobby with the payments association of SA to understand what are they doing about such ************ collections by big organisations.

Thanks Noleen.
Can you please send me timelines as that is obviously the most critical part being highlighted in this complaint. Without setting the right expactations in terms of timelines we are still at square 1 as the mobile team have had this since Last year if you noted the contant of the complaint. So how do we expect a differnt outcome if we follow the same process ?
