6 Months and still not resolved!

I handed my phone in for repairs in October 2016 at the Telkom store in Kenilworth Centre. The phone was dead so it was assumed that it was a minor software problem. I later received and sms saying that the repair would cost in excess of R 7,000.00 - which I thought was strange as it was a software problem and the device was less than 3 months old. Upon enquiring, I was told the screen was cracked. This was NOT the case when I handed my phone to Telkom and I have the device description on the job card to prove it.

I have now been paying for a device and airtime that I cannot use for almost six months! I am the victim and yet I am told they are still investigating as to who is to blame for the damaged screen. Why am I being disadvantaged for someone else’s negligence? I have asked that either phone is fully repaired (software AND screen) and returned to me, or that my contract is cancelled due to the fact that I can’t actually make use of the contract, or that I am given a replacement device (the same device that I had) – Which I don’t feel is unreasonable considering the circumstances.
