4 months and 5 mails later, still can't cancel my Telkom Service

Since November 2016 I have sent 5 emails to ********** in an attempt to cancel my service. These were on 11 November, 2 December, 20 December, 13 February and 8 March.

I did get a call in December while I was overseas telling me it was compulsory for me to conduct a 10-15 minute interview as to why I wanted to cancel. I did communicate my frustration and dismay at the fact that i would need to pay international call rates (R10 per minute) in order to leave Telkom as a customer. It is my right to end the relationship as a customer and Telkom should accept this and not compromise me further. Is this not in conflict with the Consumer Protection Act?

I visited a customer centre in January 2017 to see if they could help and i was referred to the 10210 number or the same email address.

I have now incurred in excess of R2000 in telkom costs since my first request to cancel.

All I want is a termination and my money back.

I did recieve a call from Telkom on 9 March 2017.
There was a commitment that the account would be terminated, and a refund would be given (if i hadnt used the service, which is the case).
I haven't had any confirmation of this (2 weeks have passed) and my latest debit order has run.
Please could somebody resolve / finalise this issue?
