3 months and nothing as advertised
In November 2015, Telkom Mobile advertised a \Limited Offer\" for \"Uncapped Wireless Broadband\" at R599 per month for the Gauteng area. We app**** online as the advert suggested, and our application was successful, of which we were provided a ticket # via an email (Ticket# ***).
After numerous attempts to get them to come out for the installation, someone eventually pitched up. Yay... although that was short lived when the Telkom guys who visited us were no installers at all, no sir, they were actually salesmen. WHAT!
They told us they do not have the \"Uncapped Wireless Broadband\" deal, but can offer us something else on a 2 year contract until the \"uncapped offer\" is available and we will be migrated to the uncapped deal when that comes available.
So, \"when will that be?\"... \"O, in a month or three.\"
\"And what guarantee do I have?\"... \"O, since you put it that way, let's first check with our supervisor (Lauren) before you sign up for the \"new\" data offer\"
Is this a **** from Telkom, or can we get a guarantee that we will be migrated to the \"unlimited\" offer within 3 months? Or, is this false advertising?
If we do not get a guarantee, a complaint will be lodged at ASA."
