2011 account recently been added on ITC

I apparently had a mobile contract with telkom mobile in 2011 which was handed over to VVM collections in2015 to my suprise on my latest credit report this account has recently been added on my profile being 12 months in arrears how is that even possible that an account which was opened in 2011 still reflects on my profile.
