2 weeks without dial tone and ADSL and no progress on fault
<p>We have had no phone dial tone and ADSL connection from 26 May 2017. A whole neighbourhood is affected as my neighbor also have the same problem. A status update received by my neighbor showed estimated completion date as 09/06/2017. Well that's today and still nothing. A query made to a local technician identified the problem as being on the corner of Victoria Street. Well, I pass that site every day more than once on my way to work and back and I can clearly see that no work is being done.</p> <p> </p> <p>My costs due to Telkom just not attending to this problem for 14 DAYS now has been adding up - airtime for mobile broadband stick +/- R 500 and purchase of modem R 500. A very imcompetent call center attendant also made a suggestion of getting an Integrated Data Sim at my nearest Telkom shop. Well 100 km later the answer was that the IDS won't work in Robertson as roaming is not an option with this sim and Robertson has no Telkom tower... Please at least educate your call center staff to first check location and if there is a Telkom tower in that area with coverage before giving cost and time wasting suggestions.</p> <p> </p> <p>Sms updates received shows Telkom is attending to the fault - please check the app for updates. Well the fault on the Telkom app is still just showing me an appointment date for 29/05/2017 - an appointment that was not attended by any technician from Telkom.</p> <p> </p> <p>Please just give a correct indication of how long this fault will take to repair and also if you are even at all treating it as urgent or not on your side?? What is the progress made every day?? What is causing the delay??</p> <p> </p> <p>Then at least (based on how long it is still going to take to get any service) if a very loyal Telkom customer for many years who have only praised Telkom as an ISP and recommended Telkom to everyone as the best value for money should rather start looking for another Internet Service Provider.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>My fault ***</p> <p>My neighbor's fault reference - 45CWK260517</p>
