Well here is a story most of us in South Africa has to live with daily it seems. Poor service delivery and incompetence seems to be the order of the day. End of January I requested the relocation of my service online as per telkom's requirements as I was moving to a different area. Firstly no order number was sent as their system was faulty (this was admitted to me by the consultant I was dealing with on the phone when no one showed up to reconnect my service on the 2nd of March) she then told me that I have to wait until the end of March which is ludicrous as the fault was not on my part, yet no one seems to be willing to accept accountability. I then told her to speak to her manager where they promised me that it will be connected within 7days, which would have meant that by the 9th it should have been connected right? Wrong again. I received a service booking notification that a technician will be attending to my issue on the 14th, but hey guess what, no one showed up!!! On the 15th I had to phone again but only afterwards a technician called me back and showed up. He was contracted by telkom and works for a company called open source and does not even service this area so had a look around and after a while he told me that the pre existing line of the previous property owner was faulty and different technicians needed to be dispatched, but don't worry he said, telkom will contact me and inform regarding a time the following day, which never happened, I then had to go through the tedious process of phoning telkom again. I still haven't received an answer as to exactly when my problem will be attended to, just some time today. This is a costly process as I've spent over R150 in phone calls and had to stay at home for 3 days just to wait in case someone might show up to connect my service, because should I leave home and a technician shows up it could probably take another decade to get connected again. Appalling.

Best regards,
I'm terribly sorry, this will stay on social media as well although I will send you an email in order for you to resolve this issue asap, as I was notified again today that someone has been dispatched to attend my service, and no one pitched yet again. Any correspondence will be posted on this site as well.

It's after 14h00 and no one has even bothered to contact me yet again. Well done telkom, yet you're billing me for this account. Well done.
