1st world technology at Telkom...3rd world dummies

So I phone Telkom two weeks ago that we would be moving office and the current line can be put off on the 28th of Feb, a new one to be installed on the 1st of March. All gets confirmed with the consultant.
A week later getting an SMS that the new line will be installed on the 11th of Feb...phoning Hellkom, everything is sorted and will be done as agreed. On the 10 of Feb, it turns out that the internet line is shut down as the line will be closed (so far telephone is still working). A technician will be calling back as some kind of 3rd world 'technician' has to come out to activate the 1st world technology. A technician would call when that is going to happen, meantime sitting on a pineapple and rotate as nothing happens.
Is this what BEE has become, is this the service the monopolized Hellkom is giving its clients.
And no, it won't be a surprise either that the new line will not be installed on the 1st of March as first world technology cannot be handled in the banana republic of South Africa!
