1.5 years of no word and suddenly we owe Telkom money

When we moved into our nearly 3 years ago, we took over an account from the previous tenant. Once this contract was completed, we cancelled it, in-store where we were informed that all the fees we paid were completed directly in the store.

We then heard word of an amount outstanding, some months later which we queried and we assumed was all up to date.

We did not hear a single word further about this contract until last week (at least 1.5 years later) to say there is suddenly an amount outstanding. We have been called, smsed and hounded for this amount by a third party without any explanation as to why this is suddenly a black listed amount for which we've heard nothing for years!

This is completely ridiculous and suggest you take note and stop debt collecting simply because of the tough economic times we all find ourselves in. This amount has now been SETTLED.
