**** Telecom 1023

So we receive this email with a form that needs to be filled out. We get hounded by a person called Mandy as it was imperative to fill in the form immediately before cut off. I was told it was to update information and that they were providing a FREE service. After asking about the Terms and Conditions stating that there was an amount owing. I was told no just ignore. It's just a update and that they offering a free service. My boss signed the form and we emailed back. About a weeke or so later we receive a email with a invoice for R14 400 due to Telecom 1023. Shocked I called the number that was attached to the email "Accounts department" named Adara. An Indian lady picked up. I expressed my concern and she said she'd get the consultant that assisted me to call as she knew nothing. Strange!!!! Then I received a call from Telecom 1023. Another Indian lady. Very rude wouldn't give me a chance to speak and insulted me by saying "it's not my fault you can't read" I put the phone down. Another week goes by. I receive another call. This time a black lady saying her name is Adara and she's calling from the accounts department. But in the background you can hear it's some call centre. I told her that she was not Adara. She told me yes she was and that she's the only Adara there. I proceeded to inform her that I did some investigating and picked up numerous **** alerts and complaints on Hello Peter. I asked if she was aware and she said yes. I went on to say that I will be taking this further. She said the service was already rendered and that we owe the R14 400 and need to pay immediately otherwise we will be handed over to their legal entity. I asked who was the legal entity and she could not provide a name of a company Strange!!! She even went on to tell me that she could not provide me with a recording of the calls with Mandy as they don't record calls and that their marketing department just sends out emails and that they don't call customers to explain anything. STRANGE!!!! I told then she can get her legal entity to contact us. What I found even more bizarre is their details never matched up. Always calling from a cellphone and when dialing 1023 there is no such thing. Even when googling the company it doesn't even pick up anything from there advertising. Yet they rendered a service. Such Bull. Another almost two weeks pass. We get a call from the legal department. I was not available so my colleague said she's take a message. They would not leave details. Strange!!! Two days later I receive a email from the supposed lawyers. Again I laughed so loud. This company does not exist or is even registered. Do these people honestly think we are stupid??? Clearly they do. ****. I have taken this further and reported this
