Nothing 'SUPER' about MTN Supersonic Fibre services

Our neighbourhood has finally gotten the long awaited fibre installed. We received our Router from Vumatel, whose team efficiently installed it. After extensive investigation and we opted for MTN Supersonic as our service provider (they provide the service and work through Vumatel's fibre). We immediately contracted them and paid up full. Firstly, it took 10 days for them to visit our premises and finalise the installation - so we had no internet for that period and depended on our Telkom contract data for our daily operations. We has to call them daily and were switched from pillar to post, with no proper answers. The matter was escalated to their management; so so eloquently shifted the blame to Vumatel. At one stage I was told, "Mam, we sit in Gauteng, while Vumatel sits in Cape Town. Please give us some time as we have escalated it. It is a Vumatel problem". I immediately called Vumatel, who sent out an agenda in two hours. He advised that everything was in order with their router. Frustrated, I called Supersonic every two hours, begging for 'some internet' Finally, the issue was salvaged.

This week (5 days after the installation night), we are experiencing disruptions in internet access. Yesterday, the internet was out for 2 hours. Today, it has been out since 11am. We contacted the Supersonic Technician's department and after 5 hours of back and forth; again Vumatel, is being blame. I called again this afternoon and have been advised that their Technician will be at our house, around 2pm tomorrow. For a person who works from home and depends on the internet; this situation is completely unacceptable.

I don't normally write reviews, but I thought that I should warn customers not to be hoodwinked by MTN Supersonic's adverti*****ts of grandiose fibre speeds. Be weary of the blame game and their slow delivery of services...I am now looking to switch to another service provider, as I am not going to wait for another disappointment by MTN Supersonic
