This kind of business should not be allowed to survive in our economy
I don't know how businesses of this calibre survive "being in the fibre game for over 11 years".
I ordered a fibre package through AfriHost and was promised that SADV would contact me for an installation. They called me on Monday, 29 July at 14:11 to book an appointment for the installation. We scheduled the appointment for Friday, 2 August at 09:00. My partner took leave to be home so they could do the installation. After an hour and a half of waiting (with zero feedback or updates from SADV), I decided to give them a call. I held the line for ten minutes while the operator was trying to figure out what's going on from the "coordinator".
Now, in my mind, you should really not be called a "coordinator" if you can't coordinate.
The operator came back to say that there was no record of the appointment, and that the "coordinator" denies ever to have made an appointment with me.
Needless to say I am highly irritated.
This atrocious service from a company THAT IS BEING PAID TO RENDER A SERVICE should not be tolerated. It's not like they're doing me a favour - this is a service that is being paid for. Businesses who can't step up to the plate and deliver decent customer service should honestly just close.
I've requested for Afrihost to find me an alternative supplier, as I refuse to support this incompetence and downright ****py service. I've also highlighted this experience to AfriHost as I've always had good interactions with them, and I'm sure they would not want their customer experience further tarnished by the sadness that is a partnership with SADV.
