Shocking service from SADV

Let me start off by saying i was SHOCKED at the level of arrogance SADV has towards clients. We have now been waiting since Oct 2018 for our Fibre installation . Our Provider ( Web Africa ) has Today Again sent an email saying that the installation originally in November , then December , then January and then March has now again been postponed AGAIN.

Stating that: "We know that you have been waiting a long time for your SADV Fibre internet to be installed and how frustrating it must be to have to wait. Unfortunately, SADV have moved their “go live” dates out a number of times"

I telephoned SADV to establish what is happening as we have subsequently cancelled our internet at home as we are under the impression that the internet would have been available by no later than December 2018.

I was told by a call center lady that our dates has now been moved no 30 June 2019 ( bringing out wait time to 9 Months ) I asked for a reasonable explanation why this will be taking another 3 months to get done . Lady could not give me a satisfactory answer and that the project team is now in charge of the dates . I asked to speak to someone on the Project team to establish what the holdup is and why this is taking so long, Project Manager Gordon Merington refused to speak to me as just said the call center agent should tell me they also dont know what is going on .

Well clearly the project team selected to this project is not the right one , if a project managers does not know what is going on in his own project ... well we are all done for.

Im appealing to your better nature Sir ... kindly provide me with an answer to my question ... what is taking so long ??????? Not only are they the only service provider in our area to install the lines they are not capable to provide the service or give a valid reason why there is a holdup

Good day CJ, we apologise for the delay of the build. We wanted to ensure that the build was up to our quality standards, which will then ensure that once customers installed, there will be no further network issues. We have now taken Phase 2 live and customers are being installed daily. Phase 1 is due to start scheduling this month - we are current just validating test results from the fibre at each wall box in the suburb, to ensure the readings are correct. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenienced caused by the build delay.

Best regards,
