SADV non transparency
My ISP Provider has informed me that SADV are increasing rates by 25% in March. I have contacted DSTV on why the increase is so high , there response is they are not willing to approve or deny and blame the ISP. There is no transparency in this organisation sadly they are the only supplier to our complex.

31 Jan 2020, 08:37Hi Richard, please note that we implemented a price increase on our network from the first of December last year and it was less than a twenty-five percent increase. The reason for the increase, was to align with the industry standards, as we have not implemented an increase since going Open Access in four years ago.

31 Jan 2020, 09:05This is not true , the increase will only be implemented in March and my current installment of R599 per month to R749 per month an increase of 25% and why when I contacted your company they denied an increase and blamed the ISP both verbally and I have this in writing via e-mail from Moses Mphati from SADV. Why no transparency. Why a response only after a lodged a complaint with HelloPeter and a threat of going to the consumer council.

Our first notification of the increase was sent in August and confirmation of the actual pricing was sent in October. How your ISP transfers that on to their customer and when they chose to do that, is up to them and we have no control over that. This is why our call center confirmed that there is no increase in March, as we have already implemented the increase and why they referred you to your ISP. Please contact Business Services for further information.

31 Jan 2020, 09:29Hi Richard, we are the fibre provider in your complex, but have over sixty ISPs on our network. As Business Services is your ISP, you need to ask them about any costing, as we charge all ISPs the same line rental and how they form their products is out of our control.
