Brackendowns down again!
Brackendowns has been down multiple times in the last year and why not start it off with another down time by yours truly SADV. Such a bad company that cant keep anything online and I have no other fiber provider in my area so I have to stay with this absolute horrific company.

29 Jan 2020, 08:06Hi Cailen, there was no issue in Brackendowns on the twenty seventh of January. However, last night on our backhaul provider's network, there was a break in the fibre, that affected one street in the area and then it was resolved shortly after going down. Please note that we have no control over our backhaul provider's network and unfortunately, if there are issues we log it with their teams to rectify.

30 Jan 2020, 08:21Hi Cailen, the whole of Johannesburg South is affected as there is an outage at our shared Node (main connection point) with our backhaul provider. We have dispatched Network Engineers and notifications have been sent to ISPs as well as our SADV ISP customers.

I have to phone my ISP and SADV multiple times a month for them to just keep my fiber stable. I can't wait for a better service to arrive so I can switch from this poor company called SADV.

We do understand your frustration but by posting new comments, we then have to escalate to the relevant teams and then they will in turn contact your ISP, which will cause a delay in you getting assistance.

I am posting here because I want to bring SADVs attention to Brackendowns as there are some serious issues with the stability of this area. SADV should really resolve this. It's not what I am paying for as a customer and certainly not what I expect from a company that has been in service for 11+ years. The problem seems to be getting worse and this areas fiber is not even 2 years old and there has been major maintenance here as well.

26 Feb 2020, 15:46Hi Cailen, we know this area has had many issues and our networks team are aware of this. We have a meeting with our backhaul provider in the area on Friday and it will be raised with them as well, so that a solution can be found and implemented ASAP.
