App**** for fibre, 3 months later still no call to even let me know what's going on.

On 19 November 2019 I app**** for 100mbps fibre through Cool Ideas' website with SADV. I got an email from SADV telling me they would be in contact to arrange installation. I waited more than 2 months before contacting Cool Ideas on 24 January 2019 to find out why I have not been contacted yet. Cool Ideas contacted SADV and found out the fibre in my area wasn't activated until 21 January 2019. They then told me SADV should be in contact with me within 3 weeks to arrange installation. It's been 5 weeks and still no call. I phoned Cool Ideas again on 26 February 2019, they then escalated the application. I have still not been contacted by anyone at SADV. Not even to let me know why everything is taking this long. SADV is the only fibre provider in my area so I cannot go to any other ISP that will not have to deal with SADV.

Hi Deon, unfortunately, we have had some quality issues in your area. We were wanting to take the site live, however, after conducting our final checks, our Project Manager was not happy with various portions of the build. We have now gone back into the area to rectify these. We could take the area live, as the build is completed, however, it would mean that maintenance would need to be conducted in a few months and customer that are active, would then be without services throughout the maintenance period. This is why we would rather ensure the network is up to spec and quality standards, before we take it live. Please email us - *** if you would like some more information.
