Bad experience with Roos garage

⭐ Very disappointing experience I am extremely disappointed with the quality and reliability of the garage door supp****/installed by Roos Garage Doors. Within a period of just 12 months, the garage door has already required repairs twice, and unfortunately the problem has still not been resolved. The door is now experiencing problems again and requires a third repair within 12 months. Having to repeatedly deal with the same issue is frustrating and raises serious concerns about the quality of the product and workmanship. I expected a much better quality product and service, especially given the cost involved. I hope Roos Garage Doors takes responsibility for the ongoing problem and provides a proper, lasting solution rather than another temporary repair. Based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend their service

Shocking quality, threats, and broken promises – Roos Garage Doors (George Branch)

I am extremely disappointed with the service, product quality, and appalling customer handling received from Roos Garage Doors (George branch). When looking for garage doors for my coastal property, I explicitly chose them over cheaper alternative quotes, expecting a premium product and professional installation. Instead, it has been a nightmare of poor craftsmanship, unfulfilled commitments, and outright ************. The first installation was unacceptably poor—featuring holes in the panels, incorrect *****s, and bent tracking plates. While the branch agreed to attend/replace the doors promptly, the second attempt was just as bad. The new panels arrived poorly powder coated with severe finish defects (which the salesperson that I have delt with admitted was a "batch fault"). Furthermore, they completely no showed a specific, confirmed appointment on Monday, 29 June 2026, which was scheduled so I could personally supervise the re-installation. While they were incredibly quick to send the final invoice via WhatsApp before the job was even properly finished, their post-sales service is a disgrace. When I requested that they simply touch up the defective paint before I release the final balance, the sales representative (Dewald) refused, stating that "management" will only fix it after they received final payment. I did inform Roos Garage Doors that final payment will only be release upon fixing the defaults. Instead of resolving the issue, they have resorted to open threats—stating that if I withhold final payment until the job is done correctly, they will void my warranty and "blacklist" me. As on 1 July 2026 I have send the following message to Roos Garage doors: “This is an upfront warning of intend of a message that will be posted on social media 2 July 2026 @ 16:00 on condition: • That the current garage doors installed by Roos Garage Doors are not properly fixed or attend to the satisfaction of the client. • On final completion the client undertakes to pay the outstanding amount promptly as it was expected to do on the initial quotation and Invoice” Of the invoice amount already R 18 800-00 was paid. Outstanding R 2192-00 that will be paid on completion of the job! I have cleared all communication through my attorney, and this matter will also be officially reported to the Consumer Protector. I am currently left with a sub-standard product that will not survive coastal elements. Prospective clients should be highly cautious paying a premium price with Roos Garage Doors does not guarantee premium quality, and if things go wrong, you will face threats instead of professional service. As a last point I did try to communicate the unpleasant matter with the George Branch Manager 1 July 26 @10:36. She was not available according to the receptionist and left a message to respond. Nothing forthcoming
