I find the method of reviewing on this website to be dishonest. You will notice you can no longer click on the reviews to view it. They don't tell you this; not when purchasing, not when reviewing. So the only visible customer reviews are the ones they choose to flaunt at the bottom of the page.

What a pleasure, I ordered perfume from New Zealand on Friday and arrived on Monday morning at my address in South Africa, they communicated with me the whole time and even pushed my order out

False free Delivery and defective product
Order twice fro. Rio Perfumes. The second order was over R1000 and as per the website, qualifies for free delivery. I was still charged delivery fee. There is no phone number to call so I completed the contact form and emailed them, no response. The atomiser on one of the perfumes on the last order was not working. That too was ignored. So much for 7 day money back guarantee. Ragher pay extra and get quality products and service

Excellent online business
I was tasked to purchase perfume for my boss, and last minute did she inform me that it was for the next day when I had already placed the order with Rio Perfumes. Not only did we get an excellent price in an original perfume, I also put a little request through for the parcel to be delivered the next day vs 3 to 4 days. To my very surprise we received the parcel the very same day in the late afternoon. Excellent service for an online business who also communicated effectively via WhatsApp! Thank you for saving the day!

Not only did we get an excellent price in an original perfume, I also put a little request through for the parcel to be delivered the next day vs 3 to 4 days. Misled into paying full price for a perfume that appears not authentic
I recently purchased an Issey Miyake perfume from Rio Perfumes at The Plaza, paying a price comparable to what major retailers like Edgars charge. Before purchasing, I asked the sales consultant whether the fragrance was authentic. She assured me it was and even mentioned that they stock perfumes worth up to R8,000, giving me confidence in the purchase. Unfortunately, when I opened the perfume and used it, the fragrance lasted less than an hour, which was very disappointing and unlike my previous experiences with Issey Miyake fragrances. I then contacted Issey Miyake directly and was informed that Rio Perfumes is not an authorised reseller of their products. Had I known this beforehand, I would not have paid full retail price. I feel I was misled into believing I was purchasing a product equivalent to what I would receive from an authorised retailer. At the very least, customers should be informed when a store is not an authorised reseller so they can make an informed purchasing decision. I hope Rio Perfumes will investigate this matter, explain the source of their products, and provide an appropriate resolution.

Generally great, reviews need work
I love Rio Perfumes for the great value for money and excellent quality perfumes, especially if you are into the Arab variety. Service is always quick and efficient. The only drawback is the dishonest review process. Negative reviews are not published. And recently you cannot even click on the reviews for specific perfumes.
