RCI shocking non responding on their mistake, but took my money
An official at RCI made an international exchange for me during 2025 for Nov 2026. A mistake was made with the year as requested in writing, which was then corrected. According to the new confirmation the holiday protector was not included, although I paid for it. On inquiery the official sent an email and said the holiday protector was activated. On 12 Oct 2026 I received my guestlist for the holiday, which indicates no holiday protector valid, despite my payment. RCI ignores my emails, and SUNSWOP just refer my enquiry to RCI. I even requested a meeting with the head of RCI in Johannesburg, but stil no response from them. This is shocking service by RCI

It actually makes no sense to bank with RCI.
I have stopped banking anything into RCI for some time as I find the benefits are simply not worth the amounts I put in, with my levies etc. A lot of the time accommodation is just not available in the countries I want to visit, and then the cost of overseas holidays are simply not worth it. My levies cost in the region of R12 000.00 per week. For that I get a number of points that will allow me to go for a week to the few countries that RCI have accommodation and these resorts/hotels do not come near my resort which is a Gold Crown, all red weeks. Over and above that ,the points expire after about a year or so if not used. You can extend for another year at R2600.00. The basic cost to myself of using a RCI week internationally is: My Levy: R12 000.00 RCI cost of resort: R6 500.00 One year membership: R1526.00 Sub Total: R 20 026.00 Extend for a year R2 600.00 Total: R 22 626.00 Foregone income if I had rented out my unit: R25 000 Less the Levy: R12 000.00 Thus: R13 000.00 If I rent out my unit and not pay the RCI rental fee R6500.00 and the RCI membership R1250 and not year extend, R2600.00 I would have R24 650.00 for the resort of my choice and no time limit. It is a no brainer. So as I did not want to extend for another year, and they could not give me a resort in any of the European countries I simply gave up my 14 000.00 points.

Outstanding service from Margot Wood – Turned a frustrating situation around!
I want to give a massive shoutout and a 5-star review to Margot Wood at RCI. I was having a really frustrating issue trying to renew a canceled holiday through the Holiday Protection plan. It was turning into a head-splitting process, and I was honestly on the verge of leaving a very negative review for RCI as a whole. Then Margot stepped in. She went completely above and beyond to advocate for me, resolve the issue, and ensure my holiday was taken care of. Her professionalism, patience, and absolute dedication to finding a solution turned what could have been a terrible experience into an amazingly positive one. RCI is incredibly lucky to have someone like Margot on their team. Thank you, Margot, for going out of your way to help me—you truly made all the difference!

Rci and Holiday club doenst assist with exchange
Can't exchange Rci Holiday club points, no service no assistance. We have sent many emails seeking options available and seeking assistance with reservations. Rci ignores us, holiday club sun city is pathetic. It's almost like ****.

Ruben Soobramoney is a Gem for RCI
A big thank you to RCI in having a staff like Ruben Soobramoney. In many companies it is difficult to find competent and efficient workers like Ruben. He is truly a gem in RCI and keeps clients up to date with information and tries to help as best as he can. He never delays his responses with tons of excuses but is prompt with a a reply whether it is favourable or not. A staff like Ruben uphold the name and image of the company. RCI Customer Care
I am a very unhappy customer. On 10/12/2025 I emailed RCI and asked whether there is a signed contract by me with them or a copy of their rules signed by me. If so to please send me a copy of these documents. Since first asking I asked three more times. Sad to say no acknowledgement of my emails or an answer of if any sorts.
