Worst Service Ever STAY AWAY

The biggest mistake I ever made was signing up with Rain. First I wasted R699 paying an entire month’s fee upfront for a service which I ended up not even being able to use because my apartment doesn’t directly face their tower.

Then came the hard part - trying to cancel. I phoned on 20 May and received an email to say my request was being processed. I phoned on 29 May to follow up and was told my query was being escalated. I phoned again two weeks after that and was told my cancellation was sent to the wrong department and that they were then logging it with the right department and only after this did things start happening. I then asked them to make sure that I wouldn’t be debited ANY amount as I signed up and cancelled within the same month and had already paid a full month’s fee even though I didn’t get a full month’s usage.

So imagine my surprise to find that these con artists have taken money off of my account for June when I have not used their pathetic excuse for internet since 29 May when it ought to have been cancelled.

Whatever you do do NOT sign up with Rain. I ignored the many people who warned me against them and took the word of the one person who recommended them and I have regretted it every day since then. I would recommend literally any other ISP except Rain.
