Where is the Management?

The router provided by you. “Rain” is not working . The electronic gadget connected directly to the router via a cable regardless of purchasing of a new one indicates “ No internet” and further continues to do so, even after resets from the telephonic support desk at the *** number.

Mind you this internet is used for both work and online schooling. Which is paid monthly in full for your premium package of R999. With each day that passes without internet connection will however most definitely not impact this amount which is owed to you for providing a working service what so ever.

Rain is a member of the Internet Service provider association and therefore bound by its Code of Conduct and as a supplier of services and good are also bound by the CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT.

The Consumer protection act accords me amongst others the right to demand quality service. Which includes and not limited to:

 Timely performance and completion of those services  Timely notice of any unavoidable delays in the performance of the services.  High- quality services , which consumers are entitled to expect and  Use , delivery or installation of goods that are free of defects and a quality that persons are generally entitled to expect, if any such goods are require for performance of the services.  Suppliers are required to remedy any defect in the quality of services performed or goods supp****; or refund the consumer a reasonable portion of the price of the services performed and goods supp****,in the event of these being sub- standard.

As a member of the Internet Service provider association

Each ISPA member is required to comply with the Code insofar as those sections of the Code are relevant and applicable to the services provided by that member. This Code applies to Internet services offered by ISPA’s members. In cases where a division of a company app**** for ISPA membership then the Code only applies to the services and products offered by that division.

Amongst many other obligations and not limited to those indicated. Rain is required to adhere to the following

 In their dealings with consumers, other businesses, each other and ISPA, ISPA members must act fairly, reasonably, professionally and in good faith. In particular, pricing and other material information about services must be clearly and accurately conveyed to customers and potential customers.  ISPA members must make available to customers (and potential customers) any applicable terms and conditions prior to the commencement of any contract. Terms and conditions must include all information and terms relevant to the relationship with the recipient of the service.( including support)

I’ve spent enough time on the phone to determine that the amount being paid for the services is not equitable to the services that are being offered.

Robert sent by the company was here and resolved the issue he actually went beyond the call to assist. Perhaps it would be a boast to the support to have individuals like him and his partner to be in-house as support technicians.
