VERY UNHAPPY!!
VERY UNHAPPY!! Signed up earlier this month on 5G service for my son at University of Pretoria. The service crashes repeatedly through the day, and during almost every online lecture session. I have sent 2 complaints through the Rain online portal regarding the service and have received absolutely no reply or support. My son achieved 6 distinctions in matric and if he fails this year it will be directly related to RAIN's service.

23 Mar 2022, 20:54The service is still shocking. It hasn't improved at all and has caused considerable stress for several students at UP. The problem is not mechanical "on a tower". It is clearly data overload on an inefficient bandwidth.
I provided two cellphone numbers to be contacted on, and nobody has tried to contact me.
I am so frustrated that I have vented my frustrations about RAIN INTERNET on all of my social media platforms and in my Whatsapp discussion groups and from the feedback I'm getting it seems that RAIN is known far and wide for shocking service.
What is even worse is that there is no way to contact RAIN for help on the matter... their so-called "helplines", both on their website and their cellphone apps are just as dysfunctional.
I am now filing a complaint with ICASA on behalf of all of the students that have spent their desperate savings to access education and university, and this company just seems to take their desperately sourced education funding without fair service.

14 Apr 2022, 14:44Good day.
Still no improvement.
To make matters worse, I tried to cancel the SIM card and service through the RAIN website and there is no obvious contact e-mail address. The link to a CANCELLATION page is very well hidden.
The options offered as reason for cancellation under "unreliable connectivity" reflect an "error message.
So then I attempted no less than 4 times to cancel this service telephonically, and the RAIN telephone sales & cancellation consultants keep switching me through to 'dead" extensions, or leave me hanging on for extended periods on a boring tune before the line eventually cuts out. ALL AT MY EXPENSE!
Only way I could get any response at all was to eventually call the technical help department where Thokoza assisted. .
Still no improvement.
