Very disappointing service

We recently had an unfortunate incident of electricity being too strong in our extension that it burnt a lot of electronics in most households including our rain router even though it was plugged through a power surge protector plug. we called rain and the lady who was assisting us was very rude and impatient. she had no empathy for our issue and the only thing she kept on saying was that we had to pay R4000 to get it fixed as it is has nothing to do with them. it is soo sad because we pay for the router through my mom's pension money and the fact that they won't even attend to our issue is crazy. I am hoping this will finally get us the help we need, if there is anyone out there who is still considering using rain please don't! they have no care for people, they are very rude and only care about billing accounts.

Hi onicca S,

Thank you for taking our call. We are sorry to hear about the damages caused by the electricity, and we understand your frustration. Please be advised that in the event of your router being damaged, lost, or ******, you are liable for its repayment, as this is unfortunately classified as customer negligence. The repayment fee for the router is R4,000.
To assist you, we offer the option to pay the R4,000 in four monthly installments of R1,000. You can choose between the following options:
Pause your services: You may opt to have your services paused while you pay off the R4,000 installments of R1000.
Continue services: Alternatively, you may continue using your services, paying R1,000 for the router in addition to your regular subscription.
Once the first payment of R1,000 is made, we will dispatch a new router and un-pause your services. Alternatively, we can wait until the full R4,000 is paid before sending the router—the choice is yours.
We will send you an "Acknowledgment of Debt" form via email, which you will need to sign upon agreeing to repay the cost of the router.

Please keep us posted on your decision.

Kind regards,
rain
