Up to 30mbps....does not mean 30mbps, so be happy with 4mbps if you lucky

Please note up to 30mbps, yes you will get that maybe for the first month and then it's all downhill, begging and crying from there.....equals almost 1000bps down and up speeds....unreliable, don't care attitude customer service....and then they want to know I am cancelling my month to month.....absolutely shocking. Then again why am I surprised. So many times unplug your 5G router (which I already did several time and reset by logging in) Just kicking myself for not cancelling sooner.

Please note I have detached you from the network, please reboot and test your connection.
Computer says no.....detach me from Maitland Tower and then we can try this all again

Please follow the below steps to Optimize your device connection, this will help you point your device in the right direction of your closest tower( Cnr off Welgemeend Str & Plattekloof Rd ) I have been living in Maitland for almost 6 months now so why Parow Tower, Rain was advised of the change of address and support has been supp**** for my current address and establish a stable connection with constant speeds. Please remove and re-insert your sim card once you have completed an Optimization and restart your device as well. I have done this several times and agian several times after your reply, still a problem
· Log on to your rain dashboard on www.rain.co.za
· Click on manage on the tile which has your sim plan. (your name will be displayed)
· Scroll down to Optimize and move your device around according to the direction of the tower.
You will see the sites within your area and your position will be indicated by a red beacon ( Please physically move your device in the direction of the nearest site )
Run a speed test via the provided link: speed.rain.co.za once completed with the process.
Yes, yes......done done done.....I do it with my eye closed already cause I keep having to do this at least once a week

PS. Amazing response time on Hello Peter.....2-4 days when I email support and hold on for hours when I try to call

Did the Rain speed test so for R599 (sorry R639 cause there was a price increase, just nobody reads their sms's - never mind apps that block spam etc etc) what you get is 1.2mbps download and 0.0mbps upload (tried to load screenshot of the actual speed test)

Looks to me.....automated responses can be loaded on Hello Peter to make them look good with response time. Same as their email system...automated response...and we wonder why service is bad. Automated responses have become over-used when clients require real responses/solutions to their problems. Welcome to the world automated give the client the run around :( :( :(

I have done this already so many times :( :( :(.......there is nothing wrong with my signal, the problem is the speed.

It works great for a few days, router does not get moved around and then speed just drops from 20mbps to less than 2mbps.....clearly router location is not the problem!!

Please try optimising your signal by logging into the router interface (Huawei - http://192.168.8.1/) | ZTE/Oppo http://192.168.0.1/ - password on sticker underneath the device) and follow the below steps to find your router's signal readings:

· Huawei: Advanced -> System -> Device information -> Scroll down till you see your RSRP and SINR
· ZTE: Advanced settings -> Other -> Network Information
· Oppo: Home page -> scroll down till you see your RSRP and SINR

Kindly note that slight changes in your router's position will change your signal readings. Please move your device around while monitoring your RSRP (signal strength) and your SINR (signal quality). As you move it around, try getting your RSRP value closer to -85dBm (lower the better), and your SINR value closer to +10dB (higher the better), then monitor your connection.

Kindly note that a request has been sent for a technician to come out to assist you with your network experience at your premises. You should receive an email regarding the arrangement of the appointment. If you are unavailable at that time, we will be able to reschedule the appointment.

Thank you. I have been contact on whatsapp (no email received) by a very helpful lady from Rain, has made arrangements with me.

Please note that there is an alarm on the nearest site. Our technicians are working on the issue. Apologies for the inconvenience
Still getting "Registration Failed" and "No Service".....would be nice if you could sms your clients about problems and when it is resolved not just leave them hanging
