Unreliable Network and No Customer Service
We have had Rain for 3 weeks and our network is down multiple times a day for extended period of time. We email and call the Rain customer service center regularly and are told to switch off the tower, take out the SIM card and wait 15 minutes. This is clearly a ploy to buy them time in troubleshooting the network issues in our area. The various agents that we have spoken to have been assuring us that there is no reason for our internet to drop and that there is actually no problem. On Thursday, we contacted the customer service center and the lady assisting us promised that she would call us back 'personally' within the hour with feedback. We are still waiting on a response. On Friday, we sent an email when our network was down again and were finally told that we were sent a faulty tower or sim card and that they will deliver a new one to us. However, we had no reply as to when we should expect this. We called the customer care center AGAIN, who are always very sorry about our difficulties but can offer no assistance in fixing them. After speaking to a supervisor, who is just as sorry and just as unhelpful as everyone else, we were told that we cannot be helped owing to the public holiday and weekend. We have paid for a service that Rain has failed to deliver owing to their supplying of faulty equipment. However, they show no interest in fixing this issue.
On Friday Rain communicated to us, in writing, that they are at fault. We spoke to their service representatives who told us that owing to the public holiday the earliest delivery date would be today (Monday). We have now been told that we are scheduled for delivery tomorrow.
It took three weeks of endless phonecalls and emails, being told for this entire time that there is no problem and that there is no reason for our network to spontaneously drop multiple times a day, to finally register that they sent us hardware that does not fulfil its function.
Large logistic operations need to have contingency plans in place in order to ensure that any problems are rectified smoothly and quickly.
Rain's offering is really too good to be true: they fail to deliver on their promises. Their unreliable hardware, unpredictable network and useless customer service are a testament to this.
I highly recommend STAYING AWAY from Rain and using a different internet provider.
