Unprofessional Conduct and ******** Billing – RAIN is a ****

I would like to raise a serious complaint against RAIN. I submitted a cancellation request through their website and received a confirmation that my request was received. A few days later, I got a call from a lady who confirmed my cancellation request and attempted to retain me as a customer.

However, when I explained that I was cancelling because RAIN is too expensive, her attitude changed completely. She became rude and dismissive when I asked her questions. She claimed I had been using the SIM card for 9 years and was on a contract — which is untrue. When I subscribed to the R250 deal, it was clearly advertised as a month-to-month plan, not a contract.

I also informed her that the SIM card has not been in use since 1 July, yet she insisted I would still be billed in July and August. When I asked what I would be paying for in August, she simply said "It’s a contract" and abruptly dropped the call. I requested the call recording and a copy of the so-called contract — she ignored my request and hung up.

This experience has proven to me that RAIN is a ****. Their representatives are unprofessional and dishonest, and they continue to bill customers ********ly even after cancellation.

I demand that:

My account be cancelled immediately.

I not be billed for August.

RAIN provide a copy of the contract they claim exists.

The call recording be shared as requested.

I am disappointed and feel deceived by this service. I hope HelloPeter and other consumers take note.
