Unable to cancel rain sim (Month to month contract)

I have been trying to cancel rain sim from the 22nd of September on my rain 5g account but i have not had any responses from rain except the automated email that my request has been received and reference numbers. I even send the an email but the cancellation has not been effected. I do not want to be billed for Oct as i requested the cancellation prior. Why is it so difficult to cancel?
