Unable to cancel

I cancelled my contract with Rain and they continued to debit my account, eventually I had to force the debit order to stop through my bank and then I was able to speak to someone, and now a year later they're claiming I owe them money, despite the fact that the account was dormant for over a month and they had agreed that it was an error on their side.
