05 Dec 2023, 18:31I opened an account with Rain on the 11th Nov 2023... I've been having issues ever since. The more I complained whether by calling the call center or posting on social media the worse it got but money for their services or rather lack thereof they got.
Eventually I had two technicians come out to assist me and I was given a solution for my network coverage issue. That was to get a different router that will be mounted outside because the 101 kept getting connected to the wrong or rather furthest away tower. Little did I know that Rain has people appointed who know **** about customer service.
This was very apparent when I went to your Paulshof store and the lady who assisted me called her supervisor whoever that *********** being is... Who advised her that I needed to have the router facing corner Lever and 9th road from my unit which I explained that I did that and that did not help hence the technician advised that I will need to get a CPX or whatever the router is called that gets mounted outside but I needed a sim swap given that it wasn't using an eSim. The retarded supervisor then told the consultant that was attending to me that tell the customer they should rather cancel their account because I cannot get a sim swap. I asked if the issue was the simcsrd because I'll go buy it if I have to, I mean if I wanted to cancel the service I would've done that ages ago. She cared less I asked so it makes sense to rather lose a client vs listen to what the technician was saying because it wasn't a question of not having stock of the router (CPX) in question because there were still two sealed boxes in front of me and another client had just collected one in front of me.
But no I couldn't get one... I then went ahead and cancelled my service after the bad taste that was left in my mouth and left the store.
I then received called from the technicians (Vusi Masombuka & Kgosi Mokoena) who tried their level best to recover the service failure. Vusi then came to my house done a whole testing with the CPX and got the best connection and signal I have ever seen since I got the 101 with a signal strength averaging between -111 and - 120. He managed to get - 95, which according to him that's great.
Guess what at this point who couldn't get a sim swap either thank to the idiot that advised I should cancel my account and not it was cancelled and I could not reinstate the account even though no refund had been done and I was in a credit with Rain.
I then called the call center and spoke to a lady by the name of Faith Mkrola who just made my day on top of what Vusi & Kgosi had done and offered me a solution to my issue and that is why I went on to again create another account with Rain which I now have to go pick up another route from the very store where Palesa and her retarded less knowledgeable about great customer service supervisor are working from.
I wonder who is covering my fuel while we are at that, or maybe I am just another number so Rain wouldn't give a donkey's @ss about my review.
Anyway a heart felt thank you to Vusi Masombuka, Kgosi Mokoena & Faith Mkrola for your wonderful service and for caring about your (Rain) clients.
Much appreciated 👏🏽 🙏🏽
