Terrible continued network coverage

Utterly unhappy with the service I'm receiving from Rain. My account is always paid on time. However, I struggle daily with internet access. Sometime days go past without any service (which I don't get credited for!). This has been going on for more than a year now. I've contacted them and after they told me to move my router as its location was the problem, the problem persists.

I can hardly use the WiFi on 1 device, let alone 2. If I want to watch Netflix, for example, I have to place my phone on mobile data. This means that I either have to pay more in a month for data or pay a Netflix subscription that I do not - no rather cannot - use due to Rain's poor service.

This is becoming an irritation to such an extent that I am seriously considering cancelling my subscription and moving to another internet provider.

My parents who are also with rain have the same problem with their WiFi.

Also, getting a hold of Rain is nearly impossible. You first have to search far and wide on Google for any contact information.

As I was writing this review, the network coverage went out. So, once again I was forced to go onto mobile data.

This is such a standard reply!! It makes me sick. I'm literally sitting next to my router and there's no signal. Today only, I have had probably an hour's worth of network coverage. Pathetic!! You should be ashamed of yourself!! Consider dropping your prices to reflect the reality of your services. I'm paying more than R500 for what?

Firstly, why the private reply? Other people should see this reason.

Secondly, if this is the reason, then the tower has been experiencing "some minor technical difficulties" for more than a year now. This is really unacceptable. I have already started looking into other - more reliable - internet providers. It is only a matter of time before you lose me and my parents as clients.

Lastly, if you were indeed aware of the problem before I posted my review, then why not send out a notice to your customers? Or am I the only rain customer in my area.

I'm sorry - actually not - but your apologies are no longer worth anything. The best form of apology is changed behaviour or in this case, improved network coverage.

Same generic answer each time. I'm fed up. You've lost me and my parents (who live in another town) as clients. Also, how will you determine if the gig threshold has been exceeded or not? If I go a day without any network coverage, then I should not have to pay for that day.

Well, if your technicians are working around the clock to solve the problem, then why am I still without network?

Also, you can't see how much data I use on mobile data. Yesterday alone I used 1.09GB on moble data.

Day 2 without ANY network coverage!! I've called the call centre twice. They couldn't help me. I'm still waiting to be called back.

So, since Sunday evening the tower has been faulty and you have hardly made any progress?

And the fact that no SMS or telephone call was made about my requests. Your terrible service is starting to impact my work.
