State Owned Entities have been better even at "their" worst....

Really bad connection in PTA Gardens. Signal strength to the 4G/LTE cannot get any better BUT ISP cannot maintain any kind of speed or reliability. Been weeks now since moving into the area and not 1 single day has it worked even close to 'ok'. Logs have been sent showing network losses every few minutes. On an average day its down almost 3 minutes for 10 minutes up. Not even able to watch youtube on auto240. Cannot maintain a video call or even think of using VOIP. Speed was never the issue, reliability is far more important than speed and a 3mb cap would be fine BUT if its gets over 0.7mb down load then its a special few minutes. Upload usually sits around 15mb and upwards...

Today their service hits a new low with absolutely unusable connection and a failed and late delivery of the 5G 'upgrade' because the courier "didn't like the paperwork." Now I wonder how long I will have to wait for my credit card to be refunded?

The support is non existent and even with twitter its a response a day at best. The sales team are fantastic however and respond instantaneously but can only sign you up.

If it weren't for the fibre still being pulled in the area I would not have moved areas from a ****py but somewhat reliable Rain connection to this absolutely not usable for anything other than what most ISP's block to keep their networks operating efficiently.

Bought into Rain's ethos because of covid and it was available but since loosing the job due to poor connectivity and moving house to a better area for connectivity this has turned out to be really painful. I can only imagine how many others are loosing work, jobs or business through secondly lack of Internet access and firstly bad Internet access. Hasn't an ISP made this mistake before in SA? Hard to believe a company could do worse than the SOE but they at least answered a phone and made an effort.

This is just the outages in approx 20 mins and some days looks even worse. This had to be posted using another LTE connection strangely one that hosts RAIN.
