Staff engaged in potential identity theft

Staff potentially engaged in identity theft when returning routers on cancelled services and Rain are non-plussed.

When dropping a Rain router at Rain's Paulshof store, I was advised that original and signed documents needed to accompany the return (whether returned by the accountholder or 3rd party representative). To clarify this I turned to Rain's website where the facility to query returned advice that NO documentation of any kind was required.

I escalated to support and received a call from their Green Point branch which I answered, but there was no representative on their end. I ended the call expecting another, or at the very least an email related to this. None have been forthcoming.

I sent a follow up email to Rain Support and have been roundly ignored.

Be very wary of this company and their employees as they do not trade in good faith and are potentially covering for employees engaged in ******** activities. Charges for attempted identity theft will be laid with the relevant authorities.

Correct, I was acting on behalf of my retired mother in returning the router. If you require the account details, you can contact me by my phone number and email address as per the above mentioned ticket number generated by your support system that Rain has thus far ignored.

It is noted that Rain refuse to engage through their audited ticketing support system (most likely to protect those involved in the identity theft ****) despite being provided with the relevant support reference number.

No further engagement will be done through the HelloPeter medium.
