SIM has no connectivity

I recently subscribed for the R479 unlimited data plan. RAM courier delivered my sim card on 17 Feb, till today I have no connectivity. I've done APN settings correctly, switched my modem on and off many times and still no luck. On Friday I phoned the customer service, the consultant checked and advised me my sim is not fully activated, but it should be okay in about 3 hours. They advised I would also get an email and sms to confirm it's activated, and today I'm still waitng. On the Rain App, my sim still reflects as Qued for delivery. Now, who's fooling who here? Can someone please be honest about what's really happening?? This is poor customer service.
